Intercampus Research Centers

Cornell Center for Antimicrobial Resistance

The Cornell Center for Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education unites epidemiologists, basic and clinical microbiologists, chemical biologists, immunologists, sociologists, economists, and communication experts across campuses to enable the development of transformative, multidisciplinary solutions to the problem of antimicrobial resistance.

Cornell Center on the Physics of Cancer Metabolism

The Cornell Center on the Physics of Cancer Metabolism integrates engineering, advanced imaging, and cancer biology to interrogate the multiscale biophysical mechanisms regulating tumor metabolism and function as well as their consequences on clinical outcome. By leveraging capabilities of five different institutions: Cornell University, Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, MD Anderson, and UC San Francisco, the Cornell Physical Sciences Oncology Center (PSOC) inform a more integrated approach to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer.

Cornell Center for Reproductive Genomics (CRG)

The Cornell Center for Reproductive Genomics promotes state-of-the-art research in reproductive health and fertility, with expertise in gamete biology, with an emphasis on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms that regulate the formation of viable gametes for sexual reproduction. The strength of the center lies in its strong ties between the basic sciences, based largely on the Ithaca campus of Cornell, and the clinical sciences, focused in Manhattan, NY, within the Weill Cornell Medical College.

Center for Enervating NeuroImmune Disease

The Cornell Center for Enervating Neuroimmune Diseases encompasses a variety of projects on Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (also known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Systemic Exertion Intolerance Disease). The Center’s mission is to promote research to identify its cause(s), biomarkers, and pathophysiology in order to lead to prevention and effective treatments supported by federal grants, foundations, and private donors. The Center will span Cornell’s Ithaca campus, Weill Cornell Medicine, Ithaca College, the Boyce Thompson Institute, the Workwell Foundation, EVMED Research, and the medical practices of Dr. Susan Levine, Dr. John Chia, and Dr. Geoffrey Moore.

Cornell Center for Health Equity (CCHEq)

The Cornell Center for Health Equity (CCHEq) brings together research experts at Weill Cornell Medicine and at Cornell University’s Ithaca campus to collaborate on how to achieve health equity. The Center engages members of the public in every step of the research process, from conceptualization through dissemination and implementation.

Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC)

Weill Cornell Clinical and Translational Science Center (CTSC) was established in 2007 with a Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and supports innovative interdisciplinary projects, education, training programs, and local community health efforts.

Translational Research Institute on Pain in Later Life (TRIPLL)

Housed in Cornell's Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research with faculty from the Cornell (Ithaca) and Weill Cornell Medicine campuses, the Translational Research Institute for Pain in Later Life (TRIPLL) is an NIA funded Edward R. Roybal center with a focus on chronic pain. TRIPLL was established in response to the plight of millions of older adults experiencing persistent pain, a costly and frequently disabling disorder in later life. TRIPLL supports translational research in aging in the NYC area.
