Intercampus Symposium on Metabolic Health: From Molecules to Populations

Mon, 09/11/2023 - 8:00 am G10 Biotech Bldg., Cornell University, Ithaca, New York

Obesity is a key driver of poor metabolic health; however, the exact causes of metabolic abnormalities are not well understood. What is clear is that this problem is multifaceted and requires experts of many disciplines, from molecular biology to epidemiology and basic science to clinical research, to work together to move the needle forward. Cornell University (Ithaca, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Tech campuses) is well-positioned to address the scientific and methodological transformations required to address the ever-growing need for metabolic health and to be at the forefront of scientific discovery and clinical intervention. Currently, however, there is insufficient faculty and trainee contact between our campuses to leverage our strengths to deploy top-tier collaborative projects, grant proposals and publications.
