Intercampus Research Symposia Grant - Now Accepting Applications

Post date

The Office of Academic Integration, sponsored jointly by Weill Cornell Medicine and Cornell University, is pleased to announce a Request for Applications (RFA), seeking proposals for the 2019-2020 Intercampus Research Symposia Grant. During the first two years of this program, the Office for Academic Integration has provided funding for 10 symposia, seven of which have already been held and three are scheduled for October 2019.  The symposia have been hugely successful and have tackled topics ranging from Machine Learning in Medicine to Health Equities to the Fundamental Biology of RNA.  The goals for these symposia are to acquaint faculty, students, and postdocs from our Ithaca and New York City campuses with each other around a scientific theme, share recent findings, and brainstorm ways to use what is learned at the symposia to jumpstart collaborative projects across our campuses.  As you will note in the RFA, each symposium should be led by a team including faculty in New York City and Ithaca and that a mechanism is proposed to promote tangible next steps for collaborative work.

New for 2019: Applications will now be considered for recurring symposia topics on an every-other-year cycle. Please review the RFA for further details.

The Intercampus Research Symposia RFA and application portal are now available on the Academic Integration website. The deadline for submissions is December 6, 2019.
